Saxofony Saxophone Quartet

WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF SAXOFONY

Some Information on the Saxophonists;

Honor Powrie

This is Honor. She really enjoys a good giggle don't you know, in fact she has even been known to laugh at some of the funnies from Graham. Specialities are really big instruments, she excels in Tuba / Sousaphone and plays the Baritone Sax for Saxofony, that's the big one with a curly tube at the top. Honor is responsible for a lot of the unique arrangements that Saxofony play, Thank you Honor.

 Tony Cox

This is Tony, nobody's really sure where he comes from, but we are extremely glad he does. He has been with Saxofony since 2004. Recently we have found that Tony has an aversion to small children eating crisps and rattling the bag whilst he is playing, however he is seeking help to get over this, and will be available to play out soon. Tony predominantly plays Tenor Sax for Saxofony, but is always on the look out for music for his maraccas, and is constantly touring spain looking for the gypsy Kings.

Lloyd Allen

This is Lloyd. The founder member and Alto Sax player for Saxofony. He used to play the triangle but needed something a bit less challenging. He has been known to play Brass instruments including the Trumpet, Cornet, Euphonium etc. His attention span is legendary and occasionally surpasses 15 minutes.

                  Graham Ball

This is Graham. We has had many names whilst he has been with Saxofony, but I guess we still stick with Graham, ( we can't publish the others). You will normally find him playing his Soprano, but he is always up for other offers. Occasionally he will introduce the music, and you'll recognise his Radio 2 style, as a while back he was refused his own radio show for being 'too smooth'. Graham thinks he is incredibly versatile and will play any kind of music, as long as it is 4/4.
